Training for Educators/Social Service Providers: Learn to use Writing Circles, Poetry & Spoken Word Performance as Innovative Tools to Empower Urban Youth. Ongoing opportunities 2003 – 2009.

Facilitator’s Follow-up Support/Consultation Circle: This training & consultation circle was specifically designed for those who attended the first Facilitator’s Training called,Writing Circles, Poetry & Spoken Word as Innovative Tools to Empower Urban Youth” and/or for those who had been utilizing the circle and writing, poetry, & spoken word in their work with youth.

In this post-training conversation, we:

  • We shared resources with others doing this work
  • We explored creative writing & poetry as a healing tool
  • We reflected on our work in a supportive place
  • We considered new prompts for the circle
  • We practiced & Experienced new tools for groups
