These facilitated writing circles are  for educators and/or social service providers who want a place to:

  • Explore creativity, music, poetry, and mandala-making as tools for healing
  • Reflect on their work and creative practices in a supportive place
  • Consider ways to integrate creativity into work w/students & clients

Coming Out: A Writing Circle/Support Group for Lesbians
These facilitated writing circles are for women in early stages of coming out and in search of a supportive community.

  • Explore & experience poetry, creativity, and journaling as tools for healing
  • Connect with others for support and discuss the coming out process in a safe environment
  • Integrate creativity into self-care/personal growth

Sobriety: A Writing Circle/Support Group for Women in Recovery
These facilitated writing circles are for women in all stages of recovery and in search of a supportive community to support their sobriety and enhance their recovery.

  • Explore & experience poetry, creativity, and journaling as tools for healing
  • Connect and get support from other women in sobriety (and) discuss motivations & strategies for staying sober
  • Integrate creativity into self-care/personal growth

Writing Circles – Descriptions of Past Offerings Below:

Women’s Writing Circle – Stockholm, WI:
Join a small group of women at the charming Spring Street Inn of Stockholm, Wisconsin, to share in an afternoon of reflection and writing Saturday, July 13 from 2:00-4:00 pm. 

This Women’s Writing Circle will be guided in a variety of informal writing activities led by Mary Tinucci of St. Paul MN. Mary will facilitate a unique and inspirational writing circle where you can….

  • Explore creative writing and poetry as tools for inspiration, healing, joy
  • Enjoy the company of other writers and human spirits
  • Reflect on your writing and process in a supportive place

These writing circles are casual and creative and filled with warmth and laughter. Designed strictly for personal writing and reflection, the workshop will include prompts and suggestions for helping participants put pen to paper and thoughts into written word.

The $15 fee includes healthy snacks and beverages.

Writing Group for Women in Sobriety – Life in Sober Housing:
This 2-session writing circle experience was developed and offered to women living in sober housing in St. Paul in February of 2014.

Join Laura Lablanc of FullThought, and Mary Tinucci of Think In Possibilities for a day of conversation, thought, and creativity.

Working for change within challenging currents requires that we create time and place to be out loud and in dialogue with others. This workshop is for those who are creating new paths in life, launching new projects, or developing sharper visions.

St. Paul between 2007 – 20012. Each writing circle typically included
between  5 – 9 women participants per group.
